1. Le site Tanglepatterns.com – une bibliothèque de motifs très complète
C’est un site que je trouve excellent car son auteure y a répertorié tous les motifs les plus intéressants qui existent. Elle met un point d’honneur à choisir tous les motifs qui correspondent le mieux à la méthode Zentangle en s’assurant qu’ils correspondent à certains critères. Par exemple, chaque motif doit pouvoir permettre à tous ceux qui s’exercent de les déconstruire facilement pour évoluer dans sa pratique (voir mon précédent article sur l’importance des règles en Zentangle).
Le site est en anglais mais même si vous ne comprenez pas le contenu je vous conseille de naviguer de façon aléatoire en cliquant sur les lettres de l’alphabet dans l’onglet du haut, ainsi tous les motifs commençant par cette lettre apparaîtront et vous pourrez choisir celui qui vous attire le plus.
2. Pinterest
Ce que j’apprécie sur Pinterest c’est le fait qu’on puisse par recherche de mots clés trouver à peu près tout ce qui se fait sur internet, et ce dans tous les domaines. C’est un site très visuel donc si vous y recherchez des motifs Zentangle, vous pourrez repérer d’un seul coup d’œil ceux qui vous plaisent et pourrez les enregistrer. Il faut juste créer un compte utilisateur et ensuite vous pourrez vous faire facilement votre propre bibliothèque de motifs. Je vous mets le lien vers mon tableau Pinterest sur le thème du Zentangle. J’y range tous mes coups de cœur, certains motifs Zentangle que j’apprécie ou que j’ai envie de tester, et parfois aussi mon travail.
3. L’appli Zentangle Mosaic
C’est une appli pour smartphone qui a été créé par Rick et Maria, les fondateurs de la méthode Zentangle. Personnellement j’y suis depuis quelques semaines et c’est vraiment une source d’inspiration de très belle qualité. C’est payant pour la plupart des fonctionnalités mais on peut télécharger la version gratuite au moins pour regarder les photos et l’utiliser comme source d’inspiration.
Ce que j’adore dans cette appli c’est déjà la mosaïque (disponible dans la version gratuite) où apparaissent de façon aléatoire les carrés des membres, mais aussi et surtout les séries de vidéos où on peut voir Rick et Maria faire du Zentangle en direct et expliquer leur façon de travailler. Ca se passe sur leur table de cuisine 🙂 (la série s’appelle « Kitchen Table Tangles »). J’aime aussi le fait que l’appli proprose plusieurs motifs détaillés que l’on peut travailler facilement.
4. Les livres
Les livres sont une source vraiment intéressante pour ceux qui préfèrent. Personnellement j’adore les livres et je trouve reposant pour les yeux de s’asseoir tranquillement pour regarder des images d’un livre.
Le tout premier livre qui m’a fait découvrir le Zentangle c’est le livre « 6 semaines de dessin créatif » de Beckah Krahula. A l’époque je l’avais lu en anglais mais j’ai vu qu’il y a aussi eu une version française entre temps. Sinon il existe plein d’autres livres mais je ne peux les recommander car je ne les ai pas lus.
Je me suis récemment procuré le livre « Zentangle Primer Volume 1 » de Rick et Maria, et franchement il est ultra complet et vraiment intéressant. Normal vu qu’il est écrit par les créateurs de la méthode me direz-vous 🙂 Par contre il n’est disponible qu’en anglais.
5. Créer une roue de motifs
C’est quoi une roue de motifs ? J’ai écrit tout un article à ce sujet que vous pouvez découvrir en cliquant ici. Il s’agit d’un projet de la marque Zentangle qui permet de créer une « roue », encore appelée « tanglespinner » qui nous aide à choisir des motifs au hasard pour dessiner facilement avec la méthode Zentangle. Je l’utilise régulièrement depuis plusieurs années et j’en ai même fait un atelier spécial pour créer en accord avec nos émotions.
Avec ces ressources vous avez déjà largement de quoi vous exercer et faire vos propres explorations. Par contre il est important de savoir que ce n’est pas la quantité de motifs utilisés qui fait la richesse de la pratique du Zentangle. Pour faire une très belle expérience du Zentangle et profiter au mieux de toutes ses vertus, le plus important est de bien maîtriser quelques motifs et de les pratiquer régulièrement en essayant différentes variations et dispositions, plutôt que de tout de suite vouloir faire plein de motifs différents sans les travailler en profondeur.
